Once a former quarry, the property was purchased by Hope Township in 1990 and transformed into a public park, with care taken to preserve the pond’s calm character. Today, a walking path loops the lake, dotted with fitness stations and wildlife placards that encourage both movement and learning along the way.
Anglers are drawn to the pond for largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and black crappie, while others come simply to enjoy the still water and surrounding landscape.
