Godlewsky Farms is a third-generation, family-owned farm with deep roots in Great Meadows and a long tradition of growing high-quality, seasonal produce. Founded by Polish immigrants Benjamin and Stella Godlewsky, the farm took shape in an area known locally as “The Meadows,” where rich black-muck soil helped vegetables thrive with exceptional flavor. Early on, the farm gained particular recognition for its production of celery, onions, and other robust crops, which were sold to wholesale markets across the region.
Over time, the farm evolved to meet changing needs while remaining true to its agricultural foundation. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the family expanded into horticulture, gradually adding greenhouses and a wider range of plants. Today, Godlewsky Farms grows fresh vegetables and herbs from summer through late fall, along with an extensive selection of annuals, perennials, patio pots, and hanging baskets. It’s a welcoming stop for gardeners, wanderers, and cooks.
